Making the call is the first step! Once we better understand your needs, we will pick a time that is convenient for you to have a move manager meet you at your home for a free in home estimate. After the consultation, you can decide what services make the most sense for your individual needs and budget. Some of the services offered are:
Sorting and Downsizing Services – We work one-on-one with you to declutter and downsize - helping you identify what is truly needed and what can reasonably fit in your new home.
Customized Floor Plans - To increase your comfort and ease your transition to your new setting, we start by taking a close look at what you love most in your current home, and strive to incorporate the look and feel into your future home. By re-creating your new floor plan, we can help you determine what belongings will comfortably and safely fit ahead of time, so you don’t have to worry about costs associated with renting a storage unit or moving unnecessary items.
Move Management/Move Oversight – Once we have gone through the sorting process and designed your new customized floor plan, we will ensure all your possessions are professionally packed in boxes that are clearly labeled so they can be placed in your new home with ease. We interview, evaluate estimates, schedule and manage the packers and movers, handling all the timing and logistic details so you can just relax and know it is being done right.
Setting Up Your New Residence – On moving day, we will be there to help the movers unpack your new home, hang your artwork, organize your kitchen and bathroom, make your bed and even handle setting up all the electronics. All boxes and garbage will be removed, and you will be ready to enjoy your new home from day one. We will even help you with switching the utilities and re-directing your mail so you can rest easy knowing everything has been taken care of.
Selling Items – We will help you determine what platform makes the most sense to ensure you get the proper market value for your belongings. If there are items that can be sold individually online – we will take care of that for you (or are happy to teach you how to do it).
Disposal/Dispersal of Remaining Items– Once you leave, any items left behind will be donated according to your wishes. We are aligned with many community partners and charities and are also extremely happy to work with any of your favorite charities. Donation receipts will be provided. Any items that can't be sold or donated will be disposed of in the most cost-effective manner.
Staging/Repairs/Cleaning and Maintenance Services – For most people, their home is their biggest asset. So now that everything is out, your house may need to be cleaned, painted and staged so top dollar can be received when it is sold. No worries, we can make a list of all the tasks that need to be done and source and manage the contractors needed, so you can rest easy knowing everything is taken care of.
Staying In Place –You may want or need to stay in your home for the time being and will need to re-think your space and make in-home modifications. We will source and manage the appropriate contractors so you can safely stay where you feel most comfortable and help you select and purchase the items needed so you can comfortably age-in-place.
